A bit of sad news people!
Racked LA called it the end of an era as Mitra Khayyam hands over Blood is The New Black to new licensees. The t-shirt and jersey clothing company will continue, but without Mitra at the head.
Mitra spoke about her decision to sell the company, which she founded at 23, with Racked calling it “that cute baby kitten you want to keep but can’t.”
We definitely empathize with Mitra, our showroom founder will also step down (more on that later) which makes Mitra’s decision to leave Blood is The New Black all the more significant.
Mitra will, however, be continuing with the Midnight Rider brand, which should be a relief to many, as we know that brand will soon be just as popular as Blood is The New Black.
